Oruña is crossed by the Pas River and the mouth of Mogro ria. This river has a fishing preserve where salmons and elver can be caught.
For the archaeological interest, from the XIX centuries many sites have been discovered, as well as caves with its paintings.
Oruña is also close to the Liencres Reserve Park of Dunes, which is located on the mouth of the Pas River. The Park is a protected area since 1986 because of its relevancy in the North of Spain. .
On the historic and artistic view, Oruña has many civil and parish buildings, typical Montañes style. The parish Church, (XVII century) stands out as the most important with its beautiful tower, and its wooden vestry. We have also the Ermita of San Cipriano (XVI century).
